SWEEP ROWING PROGRAMS
The Learn to Row introductory classes offer participants an orientation to sweep rowing equipment, demonstration of basic rowing stroke, boat handling and safety. The goal of the introductory program is to develop a solid foundation in preparation for the Novice Sweep Program. After participants complete the Learn to Row program they are encouraged to join ORC, their High School Rowing Program or Club where they can further their training and rowing technique development. These summer sessions are perfect for parents and teenagers to learn how to row, share the experience and understand what your teenager is talking about when he or she comes home after practice with their crew team talking with that entire new vocabulary. Bridge the gap between teenagers and parents with a team sport such as rowing where timing, setting and rowing together is what its all about!
